Since 1982, Mr. Olkowitz has limited his practice to the areas of workers compensation claims, accident litigation, and prosecuting Social Security disability appeals. In 1986, he was certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a certified civil trial attorney by passing a comprehensive examination and having a thorough review of his jury trials and personal injury litigation experience.
As the years progressed, Mr. Olkowitz concentrated increasingly on workers compensation litigation. He believes the working people are the backbone of this country and are the most in need of and deserving of immediate relief from an injury to maintain their families and lifestyles.
In 1999 after again passing a comprehensive examination and a thorough review of his workers' compensation achievements, the Supreme Court of New Jersey certified Mr. Olkowitz as a certified workers compensation attorney. Mr. Olkowitz' work ethic and his commitment to injured workers have led to his recognition by attorneys throughout the state as an expert in the field of workers compensation. He has served as Chairman of the Monmouth Bar Association Workers' Compensation Committee for many years. On several occasions, he has lectured on the various complex areas of workers' comp law and has provided useful practice tips.
Mr. Olkowitz has always been committed to fighting hard for people who have suffered from injuries. His entire career consists of representing injured individuals and obtaining the best results possible. He has always welcomed the opportunity to take on large insurance companies, corporations and even the government. Complex and difficult cases are his specialty and many attorneys refer their complex cases to Mr. Olkowitz.
Mr. Olkowitz has a rich educational background. He graduated the prestigious Peddie School with honors. He received his Ivy League Bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He was awarded his law degree when he graduated cum laude from Seton Hall School of Law in 1980.
Mr. Olkowitz served as a Law Clerk in the Federal District Court for the Honorable Serena Perretti from 1979 to 1980 and then served as a Law Clerk in the State Superior Court for the Honorable Neal Duffy from 1980 to 1981. In 1981, he was employed by Drazin and Warshaw, one of the largest personal injury firms at the time. In 1994, he was then hired by Giordano, Halleran & Ciesla, the largest law firm in central Jersey.
In 1995 due to Mr. Olkowitz's excellent results and expertise, he opened his own practice. Over 95 percent of his clients are referred to him by past clients and other attorneys.
