Now that I've been fortunate enough to become one of the top lawyers doing what I do, I look back and see that my unorthodox path was the perfect way to get to where I am now. After achieving dual master's degrees in natural resource management and journalism, I won a fellowship to work as a marine fellow for Senator George Mitchell. After a short stint as a policy analyst for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, I realized that all of the people getting things done were lawyers. That prompted me to go to law school. During my time at Lewis & Clark, where I earned a certificate in environmental law, I started working for a plaintiff's attorney in Portland, Oregon. This gave me courtroom experience and sparked my passion to help people both inside and outside of the courtroom. Over the years, I have dedicated myself to giving my clients the best representation available. I'm proud to know that my peers now consider me one of the top attorneys in Michigan.
