Robert M. Cohen has been a general civil litigator for more than 30 years and has over three decades of courtroom experience in personal injury and tort litigation, real property and leasing litigation, commercial collection matters, partnership disputes, business fraud and conversion, and selected areas of family and administrative law. Since opening his first practice in 1977, Mr. Cohen has worked tirelessly to serve the needs of diverse corporate, real estate, business, and tort clients through a dynamic approach to civil litigation, utilizing both his litigation experience and the strengths of an outside network of highly experienced, highly respected and specialized co-counsel, consulting attorneys, expert witnesses, and other leading professionals.
Now, after three decades with two successful, small, multi-partner law firms, Mr. Cohen decided to pursue a new approach to civil litigation, client and case management.
Mr. Cohen's highest priority has been and always will be his personal commitment to his clients by developing strong client relationships through regular and meaningful communication. Through frequent case updates and open, candid conversation, Mr. Cohen works with his clients to create a plan of action so that client and case needs are quickly and efficiently handled, resulting in consistent client satisfaction and case success.
Mr. Cohen was admitted to the California bar in 1976 and the New York bar in 1992. He is licensed to practice in several federal jurisdictions in California. For many years, Mr. Cohen has received the Martindale-Hubbell peer-reviewed AV rating, the Highest Rating in Legal Ability & Ethical Standards by the ratings of other attorneys in California. In the past Mr. Cohen has acted as a Judge Pro Tempore in the Beverly Hills Municipal Court and a visiting professor of law at California State University in Dominguez Hills.
