Mr. Bailey’s practice focuses on litigation. Prior to The Grunsky Law Firm PC, he spent two years as a judicial law clerk, researching and writing for a state trial court’s six judges. After law school, he spent a year as a public service fellow in the Monterey County District Attorney’s Consumer and Environmental Protection Division, helping obtain injunctions and civil penalties for unfair business practices and hazardous waste violations.
Previously, as an intern for the Monterey County Counsel, he drafted a memo in a collaborative nine-agency billion-dollar public nuisance lead paint lawsuit. He also interned for the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the Washington Attorney General, and a private law firm in Chile. He is fluent in Spanish.
Mr. Bailey earned his Juris Doctorate at Brigham Young University in 2014, where he was a Lead Editor for the Journal of Public Law, and the president of the law school’s Environment, Energy, and Resources Society. Having started his college career at Hartnell College in Salinas, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication from Arizona State University, graduating summa cum laude in 2006.
Mr. Bailey grew up in the South Bay and Monterey County. He served for three years as a scout leader for Boy Scouts of America, and is seeking new opportunities to serve the community.
