ABOUT Sarah Kallas

Sarah Kallas is an Attorney for Walsh, Knippen & Cetina, Chartered. She began her legal career as a law clerk for attorneys Ed Walsh and Jim Knippen, from whom she received valuable legal training and mentoring while attending IIT-Chicago Kent College of Law. During law school, Sarah earned an Academic Achievement Award for Advanced Legal Research and two Center for Computer-Assisted Legal Instruction (CALI) Excellence for the Future Awards for earning the highest grades in her Trial Advocacy and Mediation courses. Immediately upon graduating from law school in 1996, Sarah assumed the position of Associate Attorney, putting her practical legal expertise to use by assisting Ed and Jim in attaining record setting courtroom verdicts and out of court settlements. In addition to assisting in the representation of various municipal clients, Sarah handled personal injury, wrongful death, and medical negligence cases as well as a wide variety of complex litigation matters. She distanced herself from the practice of law in the year 2000, to dedicate her time to raising her children. Sarah resumed her legal career with Walsh, Knippen & Cetina, Chartered, in January 2017, and is excited to once again use her accomplished research, writing, and advocacy skills to zealously represent the firm’s clients.

In her free time, Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband and two teen-aged children as well as playing tennis in the NITTL, hiking, and traveling. Sarah also enjoyed serving her neighborhood homeowner association in the capacity of Vice-President and President for multiple terms, as well as volunteering in her children’s schools.
