ABOUT Scot F. McChain

Scot F. McChain attended the University of Texas—where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in accounting. After receiving his Texas CPA license in 1993, he practiced accountancy for three years in the areas of auditing and mortgage banking before attending law school.

Scot received his law degree from the University of Houston in 1997. He was admitted to the Virgin Islands Bar in 1997, and in 1998, he was admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. A member of the St. Croix Chamber of Commerce since 2005 and president from 2010-2011, he also served as president of the Virgin Islands Bar Association in 2007 and continues to be active in the V.I. Bar Association while acting as managing partner of ILP + McChain Miller Nissman. Scot’s areas of legal expertise include business/transactional, insurance defense, real estate, landlord-tenant, construction, and general civil practice.
