Mr. Sedrick Stagg was born and raised in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Throughout his life he has been committed to helping others. During his senior year of high school, Mr. Stagg was a member of AmeriCorps. Mr. Stagg moved to Houston, Texas to pursue a degree in finance at Texas Southern University. While pursuing his undergraduate degree, Mr. Stagg served as the president of a campus organization called True Life Change, an organization focused on helping students improve their academic and spiritual lives through biblical teachings.
After graduating and earning a degree in finance, Mr. Stagg decided to pursue his passion to become an attorney. Mr. Stagg attended Thurgood Marshall School of Law. While in law school Mr. Stagg was an editorial board member of law review. Mr. Stagg interned at various law firms, which equipped him with experience in a broad range of legal areas.
He received his Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2016, graduating Summa Cum Laude. After being admitted to the Texas State Bar, Mr. Stagg accepted a position at Lam, Lynn, & Philip, PLLC. As an associate attorney at the firm, he handled and resolved hundreds of civil matters. Mr. Stagg then accepted a position as Disaster Relief Attorney with Lone Star Legal Aid. Here, he provided legal services to low-income Texans. In 2018, Mr. Stagg accepted a position as an associate attorney at The Hadi Law Firm with The Texas Torch.
In his free time, Mr. Stagg enjoys volunteering in his community. He is a member of Refuge Temple Ministries. He is also, a director of Highways and Hedges, an organization focused on bringing hope to all people through a changed life.
