Stephen (Steve) G. Adkins is an aggressive criminal defense and personal injury lawyer practicing in South Georgia. A skilled courtroom advocate, Steve has over ten years experience in representing clients charged with felony and misdemeanor crimes, DUI, and serious traffic citations. Steve started his career in the Southern Circuit Public Defender’s Office where he served as an assistant public defender from 2007 to 2009 and gained extensive trial experience. In 2010, Steve transitioned to private practice and opened his own law firm. Steve is highly skilled in DUI law and is certified in Standard Field Sobriety Testing and DUI Detection. He also is certified on the breath testing machines (Intoxilyzer 9000 and Alco-Sensor) used by law enforcement in Georgia. Practicing in over forty different courts in the South Georgia area, Steve has successfully handled cases ranging from murder to DUI. Steve is a native of Valdosta, Georgia, and attended public schools. A 1989 Valdosta High School graduate, Steve was a member of the Wildcat football team that compiled a 39-2 record. Away from the office, Steve enjoys spending time with his wife, Katie, and his daughter, Elle. He also enjoys offshore fishing, quail hunting, and exercising.
