Steven Murakami has been a general practice trial lawyer for over 20 years. Originally from the Twin Cities, he moved to the Rochester area after graduating from law school to gain valuable experience as a judicial clerk for the judges of southeastern Minnesota, known as the Third Judicial District.
Shortly after completing the judicial clerkship, Mr. Murakami joined an established law firm. He was quickly named a partner in the firm. Specifically, he earned the managing partner position and became a shareholder at that time. The firm steadily grew, adding associate attorneys and paralegals, under his eight years of leadership.
Mr. Murakami has represented thousands and thousands of clients. Although most are from the Rochester area, many are from the Twin Cities and every region of Minnesota. Also, many are from other states such as Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, California and Florida, to name a few. Several clients are also internationally based. As a testament to the quality of the representation received, many of Mr. Murakami’s clients have repeatedly hired him for their various legal needs.
The dynamic needs of Mr. Murakami’s clients have allowed him to represent them at both the district court level and the appellate levels. He has also appeared in many of the county courthouses and visited with clients in most of the jails and correctional facilities throughout Minnesota.
Mr. Murakami now utilizes the same experience, staff and resources at Murakami Law Firm, LLC, which he founded in 2004.
