Background

Mr. Baker is from Mansfield, Ohio and attended Bowling Green State University where he graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He received his Juris Doctor in 2004 from the University of Akron School of Law.

Memberships

Mr. Baker is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and is admitted to practice in all courts in Ohio, the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio, and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Baker possesses an inactive license in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

Experience

Mr. Baker focuses his practice in all phases of trial advocacy before state and federal courts, in matters including personal injury, insurance, workers' compensation and construction law. He began his career with an insurance defense firm in Cleveland, Ohio representing automobile manufacturers against product liability and warranty claims. During that time, Mr. Baker built a municipal liability practice defending officers and deputies against excessive force claims. Mr. Baker moved in-house to work for the City of Akron's Law Department, and gained invaluable experience in a wide variety of contractual, employment, and litigation matters.
