ABOUT Susan M. Leming

Susan M. Leming is a partner with the firm and concentrates her practice in labor and employment and commercial litigation, and counsels employers in the development and implementation of preventive labor and employee relations programs. In 2008, Ms. Leming was selected as one of the “Top 40 Attorneys Under 40” in New Jersey by the New Jersey Law Journal.Ms. Leming represents employers and individuals in cases of employment discrimination and violations of state and federal employment related statutes. She has particular expertise in the drafting of employment contracts and restrictive covenants and in the enforcement of such agreements. She regularly appears before the state and federal courts in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and before governmental agencies, including the New Jersey Division on Civil Rights, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the United States and New Jersey Department of Labor. Ms. Leming assists employers in implementing policies and strategies to prevent employment litigation claims including the drafting and review of employment handbooks and employment policies. She regularly provides advice to employers on a diverse range of work place issues and conducts management training on a broad range of topics. She is a frequent speaker on employment and litigation matters.Ms. Leming represents clients in complex commercial litigation involving financial services and other industries including class actions in both federal and state courts. She has successfully defended clients against claims involving banking laws and federal and state banking regulations and statutes. She also assists clients with conducting internal investigations.She currently serves as a Trustee to the Association of the Federal Bar of New Jersey.Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Leming served as judicial law clerk to the Honorable Marvin E. Schlosser and the Honorable Cornelius P.
