Se habla español. Tanner Spracklen is an associate attorney with Colorado Legal Defense Group. A graduate of the University of Nebraska's College of Law, Tanner has an extensive criminal litigation background. He cut his teeth at the public defender's office in Omaha, Nebraska, where he tried both misdemeanors and felonies. Having proven adept at litigation, and having gained success in the courtroom, Tanner was assigned the challenging task of defending against the state's most complex, demanding criminal allegations.
In addition to Tanner's criminal expertise, Tanner is adept in civil litigation, having received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award, an achievement recognizing excellence in the clinical practice of civil litigation. Even while in law school, Tanner was presciently recognized as the Outstanding Civil Clinical Practice Student Scholarship, an award given to the law-school student selected by the law-school faculty for outstanding performance.
Before attending Law School, Tanner attended the University of South Dakota, where he graduated Cum Laude with degrees in Psychology and Spanish Literature. His academic and community achievements include induction into the Delta Theta Phi Legal Fraternity, the Golden Key International Honor Society, the Sigma Delta Pi National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society, and the Psi Chi International Honor Society for Psychology. He is also a recipient of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Scholarship for Academic Excellence.
For our Spanish-speaking clients, Tanner is fluent in written and spoken Spanish. In his free time, Tanner enjoys spending time with his wife, Justine, and their four-year-old child, Ryder, and newborn daughter. He also enjoys hiking, biking, and playing the guitar.
