Growing up in a small town in Sabine Parish, Louisiana, Tara's passion for the law began at an early age. Inspired by her experience working at a local personal injury law firm and by her mother's advocacy on behalf of crime victims, she knew that she wanted to be a lawyer.
Tara has always had an unrelenting dedication to success. She was valedictorian of her high school class and graduated summa cum laude at the top of her college class. Tara went on to attend Tulane Law School where she graduated magna cum laude and was a member of the Order of the Coif (top 10% of her class). At Tulane, Tara competed on Tulane's national moot court appellate team and spent her third year in law school as a practicing student attorney in the prestigious Tulane Civil Law Clinic.
After graduating from law school, Tara joined the Houston office of a prominent New York law firm specializing in mergers and acquisitions where she represented buyers, sellers, and investment banks on multi-million and billion dollar business deals. Her experience includes numerous oil and gas industry transactions ranging from public offerings and asset sales to multi-billion dollar mergers.
At Arnold & Itkin, Tara utilizes her experience in contract and business law to assist the firm in its high-stakes commercial and business dispute cases and in its internal business matters. Having grown up with many friends and family members who worked offshore, Tara is passionate about helping offshore injury victims and dedicating her work to ensuring that their safety and rights are protected. She understands that when workers are injured offshore, they deal with significant stress related to medical care and protecting the future of their families. She is proud to be part of a firm that fights tirelessly to protect clients' rights and makes clients' needs their top priority.
Tara lives in Houston with her husband Kurt and is an active member of the community. She serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Saint Paul's Methodist Church Foundation and is involved in several other community organizations. During her free time, Tara loves to travel to new places and enjoys being active outdoors.
