Tara Gaschler Salinas is the founder and managing attorney of Salinas Law Group LLC in Denver, Colorado. Her practice focuses on consumer Chapter 7 & 13 bankruptcy and litigation, as well as student loan law. Tara founded her own law firm in 2002 and has handled hundreds of personal and business bankruptcy cases since then. In 2018, she expanded the practice to include litigation and settlement of private student loans, as well as providing assistance to distressed federal student loan borrowers.
She seeks to relieve the guilt, shame and self-doubt that threaten to overwhelm my clients. By guiding them through the options available and staying with them through each step of the process; Tara helps to eliminate the stress and worry that can drown clients.
Tara has served as a member of the Colorado Bankruptcy Local Rules Committee since 2010. She has also served on two judicial selection committees for the District of Colorado. Tara sponsors the Colorado Debtors Counsel Listserv, an email chat group for Colorado bankruptcy attorneys.
Tara has been a speaker for over 40 Continuing Legal Education seminars for Colorado Bar Association CLE, American Bankruptcy Institute, National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, National Business Institute, and the Central & Eastern European Law Institute.
She is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, American Bankruptcy Institute, National Association of Consumer Advocates, National Association of Chapter Thirteen Trustees, and Colorado Consumer Bankruptcy Association.
A lifelong Colorado native, Tara graduated with a BA from Colorado State University in 1997. After a short course in parliamentary government at London School of Economics, she returned to Colorado and received her JD from University of Colorado School of Law in 2001.
