As a member of Sirote’s Business and Financial Services Practice Group, Tim represents several local and regional banks, as well as other financial institutions in commercial transactions. He advises a number of area businesses in real estate, finance, and general corporate matters. Tim also serves as bond counsel and disclosure counsel on behalf of several local and state governmental entities in taxable and tax-exempt financing transactions.
Why did you become an attorney?
My father was a bank president until I was about 33 years old, so I grew up in that world. At Rhodes College, I studied economics and business. I loved both. I saw law school as a way to combine those experiences and skills. Although my practice has evolved over the years, I started out representing banks in commercial loan transactions; it was a dream come true.
What is the best part of your job?
The feeling of satisfaction when a deal is closed and the client has had a successful outcome. Hopefully, our team has made the process as stress-free as possible and added some value along the way.
What are you most proud of in your practice?
As a real estate and transactional lawyer, I can drive by a project or building and show you something that our team has helped make happen for a client. We help build the communities in which we practice and where our clients have assets. My favorite client development moments are attending the groundbreakings and grand openings of the projects on which I am asked to assist our clients.
