Todd practices in the areas of insurance defense, civil litigation and workers’ compensation defense. He graduated cum laude from Whitman College in 1975 with a bachelor’s degree in political science-philosophy and received his law degree from the University of Montana Law School in 1979. He served on the editorial staff of the Montana Law Review form 1977 to 1979 and was business manager of the Montana Law Review. Following graduation from law school, he clerked with the Montana Supreme Court from 1979-1980.
He has served two terms on the board of directors of the Montana Defense Trial Lawyers Association. He has an “AV” rating in Martindale-Hubble, has practiced law for more than 30 years and is admitted to practice before all Montana state and federal courts, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. He participated in the longest civil trial in Flathead County (nine weeks). He serves on the board of directors of Mountain West Bank and Flathead Industries for the Handicapped. He is married, has two children and enjoys tying flies and flyfishing. He can be found in his drift boat on several Montana rivers at various times of the year.
