Virginia T. Hess offers a full spectrum of services for small- and medium-sized businesses. She assists businesses during the entire life cycle, from formation as sole proprietorships, corporations or LLCs, to sale or dissolution. This includes advocacy, counsel and advice in areas of management, employment, leasing, ownership and litigation, to name a few.
In addition to for-profit business clients, Ms. Hess's passion extends to the non-profit arena. Her experience in non-profit agencies extends beyond legal advice into the practicalities of organizational day-to-day management and boardroom dynamics. She has been a board member of many non-profit agencies in the Bay Area for over 20 years. She has served as President and Chair of the Board of the Addison–Penzak Jewish Community Center of Silicon Valley. This "cross training" makes her uniquely qualified to represent non-profit entities.
Ms. Hess received her B.A. from the University of California, San Diego, in 1976, with Highest Honors. She received her J.D.-M.B.A. joint degree from the University of Santa Clara in 1980.

Ms. Hess has served as Chair of the Santa Clara County Business Law Section and Cardozo Society Silicon Valley. She is admitted to practice before all the courts of the State of California and the United States District Courts for the Northern, Central, Eastern and Southern Districts of California.
