Whitney D. Boyd is an experienced associate attorney at Messner Reeves LLP working out of our Casper, Wyoming office. Whitney focuses her practice on insurance defense involving healthcare litigation in both federal and state courts. Additionally, Whitney assists healthcare professionals defend their professional licenses in matters before state boards. Whitney has represented practitioners before many Wyoming boards including the Medical Board, Nursing Board, Chiropractic Board, Speech Pathology and Audiology, Dental Board, and Mental Health Professions Licensing Board. Whitney genuinely enjoys her work and prides herself on her ability to skillfully represent her clients through all aspects of litigation.
Prior to law school Whitney graduated from Weber State University summa cum laude with her Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice minoring in psychology. While attending college Whitney worked for her family-owned company in Salt Lake City. Whitney’s entrepreneurial mind and holding a professional license herself, helps her understand the many challenges her clients face in defending their livelihood and reputation.
Whitney graduated from the University of Wyoming College of Law in 2018. While in law school, she served as extern to Justice Keith Kautz at the Wyoming Supreme Court. Upon graduation Whitney worked as an associate attorney for a boutique law firm located in Cheyenne, Wyoming handling medical malpractice litigation, property matters, and business matters. She then worked as an associate for a regional law firm out of their Casper, Wyoming office handling matters involving personal injury, medical malpractice, construction, and general litigation
