ZACKARIJ ("ZACK") R. GARDNER practices in the areas of corporate and other business entity law, technology transfer and commercialization, and general intellectual property law. Mr. Gardner assists businesses and corporate clients in a range of business planning and operations services, including establishing, organizing, reorganizing, and maintaining their business entities. Mr. Gardner assists nonprofit and tax-exempt entities with forming their organizations, and obtaining and maintaining their non-profit and tax-exempt statuses. In the area of technology transfer and commercialization, Mr. Gardner provides legal services related to intellectual property licenses and options, non-disclosure agreements, as well as spin-offs and other related transactions. Mr. Gardner also assists business entities and individuals with trademark issues. Mr. Gardner provides services to clients including state and federal trademark registration, licensing, enforcement proceedings, and defense against claims such as infringement and dilution. Mr. Gardner graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Law with a Concentration in Business Transactions from UT's Clayton Center for Entrepreneurial Law. While in law school, Mr. Gardner served as Acquisitions Editor for Transactions: The Tennessee Journal of Business Law and Articles Editor for the Tennessee Law Review. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Gardner earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Tennessee, where he double majored in Political Science and History
