According to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), virtually all incidents of sexual harassment go unreported. This is for a myriad of reasons: Sometimes victims are embarrassed. Perhaps they’re ashamed, or afraid of losing their job.
In other circumstances, the perpetrator may be a powerful entity like a celebrity, CEO, or public figure that intimidates the victim out of doing anything about it. The fear of calling them out is understandable; some people have a vast amount of power and resources to defend themselves to the bitter end. They can send gangs of lawyers after victims to look for dirt and blackmail them, or they can drain them of financial resources through all the legal fees.
Ultimately, it doesn’t matter how powerful or influential someone is. The law is the law and they can’t avoid it. If you’ve been the victim of sexual harassment from a powerful person in Kentucky, you may be entitled to compensation.

The Ravi Zacharias International Ministries case
The Ravi Zacharias International Ministries (RZIM) organization is a Christian missionary entity that faced considerable controversy this year. The organization announced in March 2021 that they had drastically downsized their company, halting all donations in the wake of their leader facing multiple sexual harassment allegations.
It was alleged that over the course of five years, Ravi Zacharias continuously sexually harassed three different massage therapists at two separate spas out of state that he owned.
RZIM’s management initially said that the allegations “do not in any way comport with the man we knew for decades — we believe them to be false.”
Given the organization’s size, wealth and the fact that it was supposedly representing Christian values, it looked as if it would be impossible to sue. However, after an investigation by lawyers that included interviews with over 50 people, enough evidence surfaced to truly bring down Zacharias and the entire organization. 200 photos of underage women were found on his mobile phone, and multiple women had solid evidence of him raping them.
Multiple settlements were given out to victims in the wake of all the evidence, proving that it doesn’t matter how big and powerful someone is.
What are the laws against sexual harasment?
