COVID-19 has run rampant in the workforce.

Many healthcare workers who have been at the frontlines of the pandemic have either lost their jobs or wages after getting sick or injured on the job. Many benefits are being denied and claims repaid. This is leaving many Americans in financial, emotional, and physical ruin. Many records also show that employers are not filing workers’ compensation claims.

If you’re in the Miami area and have not been approved for your worker’s compensation claim, it is suggested to do the following:

  • Document your incident with photos and videos
  • Request to file a workers compensation claim
  • Seek medical care
  • Take time off if needed
  • Document any delays or stalls from your employer to file a claim
  • If the delays and stalling persist, contact a Miami-based workers comp attorney using our leading resources.

Why worker’s compensation is performed in the workplace needs to be handled with care and taken seriously.

United States law authorizes many forms of workers’ compensation. Oftentimes, if left unaddressed by employers, it can lead to more severe consequences. Injuries at work can leave employees with no choice but to file workers’ compensation claims. This can provide some breathing room for employees as they return to full health and ability to perform their jobs to full capacity.

In many cases due to the pandemic, many employers are denying claims or delaying their filings to save money on their end. This is unethical and the services of a legal professional can help you receive the compensation you deserve!
